About Dr. Laing

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with over 24-years of experience. At Autumn River Psychology, my practice was born out of a deep understanding of the struggles faced by smart, capable adults who find themselves overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional overload. Time and again, my clients express the sentiment, “I know what to do — I just can’t seem to follow through.” By integrating evidence-based therapy with executive-function strategies, I provide a space where insight seamlessly translates into action. My goals is to ensure that clients not only feel understood but also equipped and supported in crafting lives that are both manageable and aligned with their values.
I specialize in working with adults and professionals dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, perfectionism, ADHD, and executive-function challenges. My background includes advanced training in CBT, ACT, and DBT, extensive outpatient clinical work, supervision and leadership roles, and expertise in emotional regulation, relationship patterns, and life transitions. My long-standing commitment to supporting high-achieving adults navigating complex demands and internal pressures underscores our therapy style, which is both insight-driven and practical.
